Karl-Hans Bauer Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH & Co. was founded in 1959 by the owner of the same name, Karl-Hans Bauer, in the Swabian town of Sulzbach-Laufen. Even then, the company's purpose was the manufacture of rubber and plastic goods. The company grew steadily. Further business areas such as toolmaking, mold making and electrode construction were established. The range of raw materials for the plastics to be processed was also successively expanded.
Later, however, the necessary investments to secure the future were not made for too long. The turbulent times of the early 2000s ultimately led to insolvency in 2008. However, Sven Scharf and Udo Riek, who were already employees at the time, saw the potential. Together with Ralph-Maria Schwind, the three of them took over at the end of 2008. BKT Bauer Kunststofftechnik GmbH was founded. Investments were made in new machines. Sales were optimized. A new company building was constructed in 2017. Since then, new investments in additional machines and systems have been made continuously.
BKT today
Today, BKT employs over 60 people and continues to grow. With more than 65 years of experience in the fields of plastic injection molding, tool and mold making, BKT has in-depth expertise and the highest level of technical competence. Today, the range of services goes far beyond pure plastic injection molding: design, CAD/CAM, engineering, folding core technology, toolmaking, mold making, electrode construction, eroding, finishing and component assemblies.
The machinery has been regularly expanded and renewed for years. At the same time, we preserve old, valuable machines and systems that are often no longer available today.
