To digitize its quality processes, BKT has introduced CAQ software from Böhme & Weihs and integrated two digital measuring stations into the production process. Total investment: around EUR 90,000.
The new CAQ system (CASQ-it) digitally maps quality-related processes from start to finish — from test planning and measurement data collection to evaluation and documentation. Test characteristics, measurement results, and deviations are recorded in a structured manner and evaluated centrally. This creates a high level of transparency regarding the current quality status in ongoing productions.
Two newly connected digital measuring stations enable direct, seamless transfer of measurement data to the CAQ system. Error-prone manual entries are eliminated, testing processes are accelerated, and sources of error are reduced. At the same time, data quality improves as a basis for process analyses and targeted optimizations.
With the introduction of CAQ software, we are creating a uniform system for quality assurance and evaluation, thereby increasing process reliability in plastic injection molding production. The CAQ system enables reproducible processes, quick responses to deviations, and guarantees reliable documentation for customers and certification purposes.
